Question: Who will be the Anti-Christ?

Answer: To answer you question I would like to quote R.A. Torrey from his book Practical and Perplexing Questions Answered. He says and I quote: “The Antichrist will be a person in whom Satan’s resistance to Christ and His kingdom will culminate. He will be a man, but a man whom Satan will fill to such an extent that he will be Satan incarnate.

“The Devil always seeks to [copy] God’s work, and his [copying] of God’s work will culminate in his [copying] of the incarnation of God in Jesus Christ. “ The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” 2 Thessalonians 2: 9, 10

“He [the Antichrist] will appear just previous to the coming of Jesus Christ, and our Lord will consume him with the breath of His mouth… “And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” (2 Thessalonians 2:8)

“There are already many antichrists preparing the way for the final and consummate Antichrist ‘18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.’ (1 John 2:18).

“Indeed, every one that [denies] the Father and the Son is an antichrist, but there seems to be an especial preparation for the Antichrist, in whom all the forces of evil shall head up, in the papacy on the one hand and in rationalism and anarchy on the other hand.

“The papacy, the anarchistic socialism [communism] and rationalism [humanists] some day will join and be headed by one man whom the Devil shall especially gift and in whom he shall dwell, and that man will be the Antichrist.”

I hope this helps,
