Question: Can you find in the Bible where it states one should attend church? I have a friend that thinks you don’t have to go to church to worship God; he feels that it is the house of hypocrites.

Answer:

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:23-25)

If anything we should be going to church more often as we see the Day approaching for Christ’s return! Your friend may be looking for a perfect church on this earth, if he does find it tell him not to go to it because he will spoil it, in other words, there will always be imperfections in the churches on earth.

Thanks for the question,

Gary T. Panell

The Scripture used in this discussion is taken from the New King James Version of the Holy Bible.
