Question: Is there a verse where it says that God threw the devil out of heaven and 1/3 of the angels with him?

Answer: Answer: Hello, to answer your question, all I can do at this point is to give you some references to study. Revelation 12:1-10; Luke 10:18. Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:12-18. It seems that when Lucifer sinned that he took a third of the angels with him, but that they still have access to heaven, Job 1:6- however, Christ says that He has seen Satan fall from heaven. The access Satan and the other fallen angels have now will end in the future according to Revelation 12:1-10. Revelation 12:4 is where people get that it was a third of the angels that fell into sin with Lucifer. At least this will give you some verses to study on the subject. There are, of course others on fallen angels, but to the best of my knowledge, the reference in Revelation 12:4 is the only one that people believe is possibly the approximate number.

I hope this helps,

Gary T. Panell
